This is your chance to be at the forefront of vital telecoms infrastructure projects, playing a crucial role in bringing ultrafast broadband to communities across the country.As a Civils Operative, you'll be the backbone of our network expansion, responsible for a wide range of essential tasks. Your expertise will be key in:Laying the Groundwork: Performing critical excavations, precise repairs, and seamless reinstatements.Building Essential Infrastructure: Installing ducting, chambers, and street cabinets that form the backbone of our telecoms network.Ensuring Smooth Connections: Installing draw rope on telecoms infrastructure within public highways and customer premises, always adhering to the latest client standards and health and safety regulations.Operating Key Machinery: Confidently driving and operating a 7.5t Tipper and a 360 Excavator.Clearing the Path: Identifying and clearing blockages in the highway, ensuring all work is reinstated to industry standards with meticulous photo and information capture on company -supplied devices.Mastering Your Tools: Demonstrating competency with equipment like Stihl Saws, Wacker plates, trench compactors, and jack hammers, holding all necessary certifications. Experience with a mini digger is a big plusDocumenting Your Success: Completing all necessary paperwork accurately, including job sheets, risk assessments, and plant/van sheets.Championing Safety: Applying your strong understanding of risk assessment and hazard identification to maintain the highest health and safety standards.Managing Assets: Taking full responsibility for company assets and plant assigned to you.Delivering Excellence: Treating all internal and external customers with respect and professionalism, ensuring compliance with all Virgin Media processes and procedures. RequirementsA full UK Driving Licence and the ability to confidently drive and operate a 7.5t Tipper.A valid 360 Excavator Ticket, HGV - Class 2, Clam Shell and HIBAProven and confident skills in street works with industry -recognised qualifications.The following essential qualifications: NRSWA, CSCS or equivalent, CPCS.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.A strong focus on health and safety in all aspects of your work.While not essential, experience in a similar operational or engineering environment within the telecommunications industry would be a significant advantage.
