Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bricklaying and general construction, with the ability to work on various indoor projects, including inglenook fireplaces. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship. The ability to work unsupervised and be clean and tidy whilst working in customers houses is essential.
Responsibilities
- Opening up fireplaces and make good
- Construct Brick and Tiled chambers for stove fitting
- Mix mortar and other bonding agents to ensure proper adhesion
- Measure and cut materials to fit specific dimensions
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Work in an organised, and efficient manner
Skills
- Proficient in bricklaying and safety practices
- Experience with hand tools and power tools relevant to masonry work
- Knowledge of carpentry principles is advantageous
- Familiarity with roofing is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
