Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Apprentice Surveyor located in Watford. The Apprentice Surveyor will contribute to cost estimation, assist with quantity surveying tasks, support project management efforts, and participate in contract administration activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing reports, conducting site visits, performing measurements, and assisting in the production of cost plans and valuations.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding or interest in Quantity Surveying, Cost Planning, and Value Engineering
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills for Contract Administration and Project Management support
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills to engage in estimating and lifecycle analysis
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work in team settings and with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with relevant surveying software is a plus
  • A keen interest in the construction and property sectors
  • Willingness to learn, with a proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving
  • Relevant academic achievements or coursework in construction, quantity surveying, or related fields is advantageous
