Warehouse Operative/Cover Driver

Salary: £12.60 per hour (increasing to £13.50 after a 3-month probationary period)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm

About Us

Walker Slater is a leading clothing company renowned for quality craftsmanship and classic style. We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Edinburgh. This role is key to ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process incoming stock and materials
  • Pick and fill orders accurately from stock
  • Pack and dispatch orders to customers
  • Manage, organize, and retrieve stock within the warehouse
  • Perform regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
  • Operate warehouse equipment as required
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager
  • Provide driving cover for our main driver during holidays, including:
  • One daily delivery trip to Victoria Street
  • Two weekly delivery trips to Glasgow

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Must be aged 25 or over (for insurance purposes related to driving duties)
