Overview

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of masonry techniques and be proficient in bricklaying. This role involves working with various materials to construct and repair structures, ensuring quality and durability in all projects. A commitment to safety and attention to detail is essential.

Duties

• Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry units according to specifications and blueprints.
• Mix mortar and other materials as required for construction tasks.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and finish masonry materials.
• Perform repairs on existing structures, including repointing and replacing damaged bricks.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and roofers, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced workers as needed.

Experience

• Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry work is essential.
• Familiarity with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels is required.
• Experience using power tools relevant to masonry tasks is advantageous.
• Knowledge of carpentry and roofing practices will be considered a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £200.00-£250.00 per day
