Job Title: CNC Machine Operator – Salvagnini Punch & Folding Machine

Location: Scunthorpe, UK

Employment Type: Full-Time/Permanent

About Us:

We are a leading manufacturing company based in Scunthorpe, specialising in sheet metal manufacturing of access solutions. We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machine Operator to join our production team, operating our Salvagnini punch and folding machines to produce high-quality components to specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor Salvagnini punch and folding machines to produce components according to technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Load and unload materials, ensuring correct placement and alignment.
  • Carry out machine adjustments, tool changes, and minor maintenance as required.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using appropriate measuring tools.
  • Maintain accurate production records and ensure adherence to job schedules.
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet output and quality targets.
  • Identify and report machine or production issues promptly to supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating CNC/Salvagnini machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic mechanical skills and ability to perform machine adjustments.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Salvagnini S4 punching and/or P4 panel bending systems.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
