The role would suit an individual with HLTA experience or someone looking to take the next step in their career in education. The role would provide a wealth of experience and opportunities to lead, plan, assess and teach in a small, specialised group. This role is ideal for candidates with experience supporting children with special educational needs and challenging behaviours, and who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in children's lives. You will lead and deliver a daily nurture-based intervention programme for a small group of children, working in close partnership with the class teacher to create a caring, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes both personal and academic growth. We would welcome applicants with a range of experiences both personally and professionally. 

You will:

• have strong relationship building skills and techniques

• be passionate about helping children reach their potential despite challenges 

• be able to communicate clearly with children and adults, verbally and in writing

• have experience of working with all ages of children in school

• be able to adhere to policies and procedures and follow GDPR guidelines

• be confident in supporting good behaviour and is confident in deploying a range of behaviour management strategies 

• have a desire to participate in school and trust CPD opportunities

• have a full understanding of Safeguarding.

Qualifications:       

Essential: Grade C /4+ level Numeracy and Literacy

Essential: Has a basic level of computer literacy

Desirable: A relevant HLTA qualification, TA qualification or relevant experience.

Line manager: Academy Head.
