Quality Assurance Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and improving product quality standards across our manufacturing processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic environment, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organisational policies.
Duties
- 50% shop floor
- Carrying out product quality checks, metal detector tests, temperature and weight checks
- Conducting hygiene, GMP, allergen, and glass & hard plastic inspections
- Collecting samples for lab testing and monitoring raw material compliance
- Supporting traceability exercises and non-conformance investigations
50% office
- Reviewing production paperwork and quality records
- Supporting internal audits alongside the QA Manager
- Preparing documentation for BRCGS and customer audits
- Maintaining calibration, complaint, and corrective action records
Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety (preferred)
- Background in food manufacturing, QA, or technical (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Fast learner with a proactive, hands-on attitude
- Good communication and IT skills (Excel, Word, data entry)
- Willingness to train and develop in a technical QA career
