Our Actuarial & Risk team provides market leading advice to clients in the financial services sector and further afield. We consult extensively to the life insurance, general insurance, health insurance and pensions sectors, as well as to the banking and other non-traditional areas. We specialise in developing bespoke solutions that are theoretically robust but also pragmatic to implement and commercially sound.

A look into the role
As an Actuarial and Risk General Insurance Manager within our Actuarial & Risk team, you will:

  • Build your personal brand by researching and working on projects relating to a specific technical area, becoming the go-to person in the team for insight and advice.
  • Lead in the day-to-day management of projects and delivery of client work. You will engage with all key stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met, risks are managed, and the quality of work is to the highest standard.
  • Take responsibility for developing more junior members of the team, understanding their career aspirations and supporting their delivery.
  • Support business development activities by building strong internal and external networks to help foster new clients and opportunities.

Knowing you're right for us
Joining us as an Actuarial and Risk General Insurance Manager, the minimum criteria you'll be a qualified actuary with UK professional services experience. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don't worry if you don't tick every box, we'll help you develop along the way.

  • Experience in actuarial modelling, capital, reserving or pricing
  • Ability to adapt quickly, work to tight deadlines and a track record of producing high quality work
  • Experience of developing and monitoring junior team members
