Job Title: Yarn Store Supervisor
This is a permanent role, working 38 hours a week on a dayshift. Salary is starting from £27,229 per annum dependent on experience.
About the Role: Due to continued expansion of the business, we are looking for a Yarn Store Supervisor tooversee the day-to-day running of the Yarn Store department at our Hawick Mill. Receiving the most luxurious of yarns to be used in our production processes from sampling to customer orders.
Responsible to – Accessories Knitting Manager
Based at our Hawick Mill, you will:
- Be Responsible for:
- overseeing operational day to day running of Yarnstore duties which also includes Yarn reclaim
- ensuring a timely and smooth delivery of yarn to internal departments
- maintaining a clean and organised workspace
- verifying the accuracy of deliveries
- monitoring and control of stock levels
- ensuring all fibres are stored in their designated locations.
- liaising with yarn purchasing team
- identify continuous improvements and projects to ensure smooth operations within the Yarnstore
- You will be required to:
- monitor employees managing attendance records
- set and monitor employees daily targets
- respond to any employee requests/concerns
- Act as a champion for quality, ensuring highest levels of production are maintained throughout the department
About you
Here's what we're looking for in our ideal candidate:
- Have previous supervisory experience or manufacturing experience, preferably in a knitting environment
- Be quality driven, demonstrating high attention to detail
- Be self-motivated with strong organisational skills
- Have the ability to supervise and work within a team
- Good timekeeping
- Organised
- Forward thinker
- Computer literacy is essential. Prior experience with manufacturing systems is an advantage, although full training will be provided
