Area Manager – ServiceMaster

Location: Glasgow and surrounding areas

Full-time (9am to 5pm), Permanent

ServiceMaster is looking for a hands-on Area Manager to take responsibility of our cleaning contracts, support our cleaners, and keep our clients happy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Retention: Ensure all client contracts are delivered to a high standard – doing whatever it takes to keep them.
  • Cleaner Support & Stock Management: Communicate with cleaners regularly to make sure they have the stock, equipment, and guidance they need.
  • Holiday & Sickness Cover: Organise cover for holidays and sickness quickly and effectively – stepping in yourself when required.
  • Client Communication: Build strong relationships with clients, respond promptly to their needs, and ensure their satisfaction with our service through emails, calls and regular site visits.
  • Problem Solving: Tackle issues head-on and resolve them fast, whether it's staff shortages, client concerns, or operational challenges.

About You

  • You're dependable, proactive and willing to work with clients to achieve solutions.
  • You're an excellent communicator, able to work with both cleaners and clients confidently.
  • You're organised, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and react quickly when situations change.
  • Previous experience in facilities management, cleaning, or team supervision would be an advantage – but attitude and commitment are what matter most.
