The Role & Company

We are looking for a Skills, Capability & Performance Lead to shape how we build skills, strengthen leadership and enable high performance across a fast-paced, global organisation. This role is ideal for someone who prefers simplicity over complexity and can turn strategy into practical tools, frameworks and development experiences that people actually use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate people and skills data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Identify critical skills for today and the future, highlighting gaps and priorities.
  • Improve role clarity and mobility pathways across regions.
  • Design simple, scalable capability-building solutions for leaders, managers and teams.
  • Create learning pathways that help people build the right skills at the right time.
  • Equip HR Business Partners with practical tools, frameworks and guidance.
  • Partner with leaders to define the capabilities each function needs to excel.
  • Evolve learning tools and resources to make development faster and more integrated into everyday work.
  • Strengthen performance routines through lightweight, user-friendly tools.
  • Build technology-enabled development solutions that support real work and improve manager confidence with People processes.

About You

  • Commercial, outcome-focused and experienced in connecting development to performance.
  • Practical, iterative and comfortable testing and improving quickly.
  • Collaborative, low-ego and effective at influencing without hierarchy.
  • Adaptable and confident operating in evolving, fast-moving environments.
  • Curious about technology and future-focused in how capability is built.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience designing and delivering capability-building programmes.
  • Background in skills or capability development in a digital, modern or global environment.
  • Expertise in skill frameworks, capability models, role architecture or talent pathways.
  • Strong understanding of digital learning and performance-enablement technology.
  • Ability to simplify complexity into usable, scalable frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience in high-growth tech, digital, SaaS or product-led environments.
  • Knowledge of leadership development, OD or performance management.

Success Measures (12–18 Months)

  • Stronger manager capability and performance outcomes.
  • Skills architecture embedded across key functions.
  • Clear, accessible career pathways integrated into key people processes.
  • Function-specific capability models delivered in partnership with HRBPs.
  • Improved internal mobility, readiness and capability depth.
  • Higher clarity, development and leadership confidence metrics.
