Maintenance Handyman

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maintenance and repair tasks, demonstrating proficiency in various technical skills. This role requires an individual who can effectively manage multiple projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across various facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Interpret and work from schematics to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers for automated systems.
• Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or installations.
• Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff or apprentices during maintenance projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service throughout the repair process.

Experience

• Proven experience in maintenance roles with a focus on electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and general repairs.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and the ability to read schematics is essential.
• Previous supervisory experience is advantageous, along with strong leadership skills.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
