About the Role

As the Insurance Officer, you'll be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of insurance and risk across large-scale construction projects. You'll work closely with project, commercial, and finance teams, ensuring the business is fully protected through robust insurance coverage and effective claims management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of insurance programmes across construction projects and business operations.
  • Liaise with insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate and cost-effective cover.
  • Manage and coordinate insurance claims, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Review project contracts, tenders, and subcontractor agreements to identify and mitigate insurance-related risks.
  • Maintain accurate insurance registers, records, and documentation.
  • Support annual renewals, audits, and policy reviews.
  • Provide expert advice on insurance clauses, indemnities, and risk transfer to project and commercial teams.
  • Contribute to risk management initiatives and promote best practice across the organisation.

About You

  • Proven experience in an
    insurance or risk management role within the construction sector
    (essential).
  • Strong understanding of key construction-related policies (CAR, PI, EL/PL, Property, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • CII qualification (or working towards) is advantageous.
