, supporting major projects across the North West and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional with a strong background in the
construction industry
to take ownership of risk and insurance management in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
About the Role
As the Insurance Officer, you'll be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of insurance and risk across large-scale construction projects. You'll work closely with project, commercial, and finance teams, ensuring the business is fully protected through robust insurance coverage and effective claims management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of insurance programmes across construction projects and business operations.
- Liaise with insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate and cost-effective cover.
- Manage and coordinate insurance claims, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Review project contracts, tenders, and subcontractor agreements to identify and mitigate insurance-related risks.
- Maintain accurate insurance registers, records, and documentation.
- Support annual renewals, audits, and policy reviews.
- Provide expert advice on insurance clauses, indemnities, and risk transfer to project and commercial teams.
- Contribute to risk management initiatives and promote best practice across the organisation.
About You
- Proven experience in an
insurance or risk management role within the construction sector
(essential). - Strong understanding of key construction-related policies (CAR, PI, EL/PL, Property, etc.).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- CII qualification (or working towards) is advantageous.
