Logistics Manager – International E-commerce

The Role
As Logistics Manager, you will oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, focusing on negotiating contracts with U.S. carriers, optimizing cross-border logistics, and managing relationships with 3PL partners. You will play a key role in streamlining fulfilment processes, reducing costs, and enhancing delivery performance—especially during peak periods like Black Friday and Christmas.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Carrier Management
- Negotiate contracts with U.S. carriers to optimize shipping costs, delivery speed, and service quality.
- Manage cross-border logistics, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery across Europe and the U.S.
- Oversee relationships with international fulfilment partners & 3PL providers, ensuring SLA adherence.
- Optimize supply chain workflows, from procurement to last-mile delivery, reducing transit times.
- Ensure smooth coordination of global logistics operations, scaling into new geographies.
- Develop logistics strategies to improve shipping efficiency & reduce operational costs.
- Implement stock forecasting and demand planning to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Leverage data & automation to improve supply chain efficiency and visibility.
- Drive process improvements, enhancing cost-effectiveness and minimizing delivery delays.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations across the U.S. and European markets.
- Mitigate risks related to customs clearance, tariffs, and cross-border logistics challenges.
- Maintain high standards for data accuracy, inventory control, and regulatory compliance.
- Track key logistics KPIs (delivery times, carrier performance, shipping costs) and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with customer service & tech teams to resolve logistics-related issues and improve customer satisfaction.
- Analyse carrier data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or fulfilment management in e-commerce or FMCG.
- Strong negotiation skills with U.S. carriers and experience managing cross-border contracts.
- Expertise in 3PL management, international shipping, and customs compliance.
- Analytical mindset, with proficiency in supply chain optimization, forecasting & logistics data analysis.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, especially during peak retail periods.
- Strong problem-solving, process improvement & stakeholder management skills.
- Analyze and manage large volumes of logistics data to ensure accurate reporting and decision-making.
- Utilize strong mathematical skills to assess costs, optimize shipping rates, and support contract negotiations.
- Maintain and process detailed logistics data in spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Collect, review, and validate numerical data from logistics partners to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop data-driven insights to strengthen negotiations with carriers and optimize supply chain costs.
- Ensure all logistics-related financials, KPIs, and performance metrics are tracked and reported effectively.
