We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for catering and cooking, with some experience in restaurant or kitchen settings. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Support the catering team during events and daily service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to at all times
- Help with serving meals to guests or customers as required
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage organisation
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for culinary arts is key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work during busy periods, including weekends if required
