About This Role
You'll join a new operational-focused team, working very closely with the current team and taking part in the use of threat intelligence, the purple team, and excellence in incident response.
The successful candidate will be able to work in high-pressure situations, analyze complex problems, be comfortable with taking the initiative, be able to work collaboratively with diverse teams and have a background in operations. Bring a 'can do' attitude and a desire to learn
*These are some of the key components to the position:*
- You'll join our security incident response capability - responsible for investigating and managing security alerts/incidents across the organisation.
- Play a role in day-to-day security operations functions such as threat intelligence and management of SIEM, WAF and EDR tools.
- You will use and maintain processes, runbooks, detection rules, automation, and dashboards to support the detection, analysis, triage, and response to potential security threats.
*What will you bring to the team?*
- Experience providing incident response for mission-critical systems in a 24/7 environment.
- Knowledge of the current threat landscape and awareness of those threats that may affect the platform.
- Exposure to one or more of the following technology areas:
- SIEM experience
- Cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- WAF / internet security capabilities
- Networking/Networking protocols
- Operating systems
- Detection engineering
- Automation design & implementation
- Desire to constantly learn and improve
- Scripting experience (typically Bash/Powershell/Python)
