We are seeking an experienced
ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
for our Client to support the ServiceNow Platform Engineering and Live Operations function. The architect will lead technical design, governance, and architectural strategy across multiple ServiceNow modules, ensuring alignment with enterprise data models, integration standards, and secure patterns. The position is highly collaborative requiring strong stakeholder influence, documentation delivery, and solution leadership within an Agile digital delivery environment.

Location:
Manchester, Leeds or Blackpool
(Hybrid – 60% on-site over 4 weeks, non-negotiable)

Contract Length:
Initial 12 months + potential 6-month extension

Security Clearance:
SC Clearance preferred
(or eligible for SC)

Scope of Work:

• Lead alignment of IRM Entity Hierarchy with Common Service Data Model (CSDM)

• Define integration pattern for transitioning ServiceNow user access to zScaler

• Architect secure provisioning models for ServiceNow APIs (authentication, access control, risk assessment)

• Support the expansion and adoption of Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) across the organisation

• Design the HRSD Complex Case architecture using OOB capabilities, documentation and DPIA considerations

• Produce design artefacts, risk assessments, DA packs, engineering patterns, and governance documentation

• Engage and present design recommendations in governance forums and Design Authority boards

• Work closely with engineering, product, delivery and security stakeholders

Essential Experience & Skills:

• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – mandatory

• Proven experience designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions across multi-datacentre or cloud environments

• SME-level knowledge across ServiceNow core platform and ITSM modules

• Strong background in integration frameworks, API security, authentication, and platform governance

• Experience working with CSDM, IRM, HRSD, SPM and API design patterns

• Strong influencing skills, able to challenge and guide technical governance meetings

• Excellent communication and documentation capabilities

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience facilitating discovery workshops and defining use cases for ServiceNow products and modules

• Designing and documenting integration solutions between ServiceNow and external enterprise platforms

• Ability to lead production of high-level architecture, design patterns and technology governance artefacts

• Collaborative engagement with wider service delivery teams blending technical, leadership, and interpersonal skills

Work Setting:

• Hybrid working with
60% mandatory on-site presence
(Manchester, Leeds, Blackpool)

• SC Clearance required or candidate must be eligible

• Works within existing ServiceNow Platform Engineering team (product managers, delivery squads, engineers)

• Time-and-materials engagement, governed under Digital Outcomes 6 (RM1043.8)
