Halifax, Calderdale, United Kingdom Spring Hall Group Practice Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished and highly motivated manager to join our well established and highly respected practice.

We are looking for a caring, dynamic, and strategic leader who will work with the partnership alongside the Management team to deliver exceptional services to patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished manager with demonstrated experience of HR, and strategic planning. A high degree of personal organisation and a systematic approach to problem solving is required.

The Management and Clinical team are supported by a strong GP management structure with clearly defined teams for patient services and administration.

About Us

Spring Hall Group Practice is a large and progressive GP practice serving a diverse patient population of approximately 29,000 patients. We are a dynamic and supportive team of GPs, nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff committed to delivering high-quality patient care in line with NHS and CQC standards.

· The surgery operates an online, telephone, video and face to face appointments service.

· Training practice for GP Trainees, Medical Students, ACP (Advanced Clinical Practitioners), Physicians Associates, Independent Prescribing Pharmacists and Nursing.

Spring Hall Group Practice is a member practice of NHS Calderdale ICB and is part of the Central Halifax Primary Care Network (PCN).

Main Duties of the Job

The principal areas of responsibility and the qualities required of the manager are outlined in the job description. Whilst it is appreciated that the person appointed will not be an expert in all areas listed, we do expect candidates to have good interpersonal qualities and be able to demonstrate experience and confidence in the areas of people and small business management, with a particular emphasis on HR, innovation, dealing with complaints, with excellent skills in IT and a sound knowledge of finance.

An understanding of current NHS initiatives will be helpful, however the introduction of new ideas and methods from outside the NHS presents an attractive proposition to the partnership. In addition to adapting the practice to meet the demands of providing high quality patient care, the manager will need to ensure that the practice is compliant with all aspects of health and safety, employment legislation and CQC (Care Quality Commission) registration.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership and organisational skills, ideally with experience in NHS primary care or a similar regulated environment. You'll work closely with the GP partners and team to ensure compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the practice.
