Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Ledbury, Herefordshire
Salary: £28,496 – £31,200
Working Hour: Permanent – Full Time
Pay Per Sleep: £50 per sleep-in

Service: Children's Home
Service Users: YPs – EBD, Trauma, Neglect, CSE, CCE, PSB

Qualifications Required:

  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's and Young People's Workforce

Experience in Years Required:

  • Minimum 2 years' residential childcare experience

Employment Type: Permanent

Do not apply for this role if any of the following apply to you:
  • You do not hold a Full UK Driving Licence and do not have a car.

  • You only hold a Level 3 Health & Social Care – this is not deemed equivalent.

  • You have only HealthCare, NHS, CQC, or Nursery Practitioner experience.

  • You require sponsorship – no sponsorship available.

Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children's Home will not be considered.

Who we are looking for…

We are seeking a caring, resilient and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them build confidence, life skills and emotional resilience.

You must:
Be 22+ (Ofsted requirement)
Hold your NVQ Level 3 CYPW
Have 2+ years' experience in residential childcare
Hold a valid manual driving licence

You will:

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people

  • Safeguard and support them at all times

  • Provide structure, routine and emotional support

  • Lead shifts, supervise staff, manage rotas and ensure placements are followed

  • Be a positive role model and support young people into adulthood
