Shaping The Future Of Brand Experience & Retail Design

  • Pioneering Brand VM Strategy: Architect and execute our overarching visual merchandising strategy for both new product launches and ongoing brand presence, ensuring a cohesive and compelling aesthetic that captivates consumers and drives engagement.
  • Leading Iconic Retail Projects: Drive the end-to-end vision for our most significant retail transformations, particularly Boots Waterloo and major grocery partners. This includes conceptualizing cutting-edge permanent and semi-permanent fixture designs that redefine beauty retail.
  • Crafting Immersive Visual Narratives: Develop impactful artwork and engaging planograms that not only highlight our product portfolio but also tell a compelling brand story, creating an unforgettable shopping journey.

Driving Strategic Impact & Cross-Functional Excellence

  • Cultivating Strategic Partnerships: Act as a key liaison and negotiator with major retailers, third-party agencies, and internal DMI/Zone contacts, ensuring seamless execution of visual merchandising initiatives and securing prime retail real estate.
  • Championing Internal Collaboration: Influence and manage internal stakeholders across various departments, from marketing to supply chain, ensuring alignment and support for your innovative retail projects.
  • Leading Sustainability Integration: Drive our commitment to sustainability within merchandising, exploring and implementing eco-conscious materials and practices in all retail design and execution.
  • Spearheading CMI & Team Development: Collaborate on CMI projects to leverage insights and actively contribute to the growth and development of our merchandising capabilities, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the team.

Optimising Performance & Operational Prowess

  • Strategic Budget Management: Oversee and optimize significant CAPEX and promotional budgets, ensuring maximum return on investment for all visual merchandising initiatives.
  • Enhancing Merchandising Efficiency: Serve as the go-to expert for merchandising cost efficiency, identifying and implementing innovative solutions in new tenders and retail projects.
  • Overseeing Estate Transformations: Lead complex estate changes, rebalances, and uplifts, ensuring strategic placement and optimal performance of all retail assets.
  • Ensuring Flawless Aftermarket Support: Manage the entire lifecycle of our retail displays, from efficient stand maintenance and parts ordering with retailers to implementing closed-loop recycling and end-of-life analysis for assets.

Who You Are

  • Proven experience in visual merchandising, retail design, and project management within a fast-paced retail or beauty environment, specifically involving permanent and semi-permanent fixtures.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, CAPEX management, and cost efficiency in merchandising projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive brand VM and promotional strategies.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with experience managing relationships with retailers, agencies, DMI/Zone contacts, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in retail operations, including planogramming, installation management, stock management, ordering, forecasting, and after-sales support.
  • A track record of effective team development and leadership, with the ability to manage cross-functional projects.
