Job Overview

We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our growing team. This person will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, supporting the chefs, and helping with general kitchen tasks. This is a fast-paced environment where reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are essential.

Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including equipment, work surfaces, floors, and storage areas.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, baking trays, and kitchen tools efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Assist with basic food preparation and packaging when required.
  • Receive and organise deliveries, rotating stock and ensuring proper storage.
  • Remove waste and recycling following health and safety guidelines.
  • Support the kitchen team with general tasks to ensure operations run smoothly.
  • Follow all hygiene, health, and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organised under pressure.
  • Reliability and punctuality — this role is essential to the kitchen workflow.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is helpful but not essential.
  • A positive, team-focused attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
