You'll be joining an AIM listed Fintech group expanding its regulated financial product suite across Europe — a Profitable operational company in Europe and UK white label plugin overdraft product expected to go live in Q4 with UK bank partner and a clear path to market scale. This is a rare chance to help shape the finance function and to grow into a senior role as the organisation scales.

They are now looking for a Financial Controller to help sharpen the finance foundations — turning early-stage processes into a robust, scalable control environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the exec team, you'll take ownership of day-to-day financial control while helping design the management reporting and governance frameworks that will support our next stage of growth. You'll be working across financial operations and risk, liquidity and capital reporting, and the regulatory build-out that comes with an expanding European Fintech.

What You'll Do

  • Own monthly close, payments, reconciliations, and management accounts — building processes fit for audit and regulatory review.
  • Develop control frameworks across cash management, finance operational processes and liquidity monitoring.
  • Partner with the CFO and Risk/Treasury to build/strengthen capital and liquidity reporting processes
  • Support implementation of finance systems, accounting tools, and automation (Xero, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Prepare MI packs for the Board, investors, and regulators — distilling complex data into actionable insights.
  • Work closely with product and tech teams to ensure finance is tightly integrated with the consumer lending platform.

What You'll Bring

  • Must be Qualified ACA or ACCA (first or second move from practice ideal).
  • Must have demonstrable retail banking / FX or Capital Markets experience - ideally regulated fintech.
  • Solid grounding in financial control, management accounts, and reconciliations/
  • Understanding (or curiosity) around liquidity, capital adequacy, and treasury processes.
  • Pragmatic, hands-on, and comfortable building things that don't yet exist.
