This isn't just coaching. This is building a future
We're The Little Gym Handy Cross – a successful & growing, family-run business with a big heart and a big vision: helping children grow stronger, more confident and more capable through gymnastics.
With 700+ children attending each week, our classes are in demand and we're looking for someone career-minded to continue their coaching career with us.
This is an opportunity to tap into your talents and build skills that go far beyond just coaching in the Gym – leadership, communication, organisation, business knowledge & child development.
Who you are:
You:
- Love gymnastics, movement, sport and physical activity
- Are organised, driven, responsible, and take pride in completing tasks to a high standard
- Naturally connect with children and bring positive, confident energy & warmth
- Want to make a genuine positive difference in kids' lives (this isn't just a pay check)
- Love learning, growing and being mentored
- Enjoy working as part of a team & are a mature role model for those around you
- Are curious about how a sports business works behind the scenes
- Ready to challenge yourself in a new role
Experience in gymnastics, dance or similar and working with children are both a huge advantage. Having a great attitude, transferable skills, and a growth mindset are a must.
If you are already an experienced coach looking for a fresh start, a new challenge, and opportunities to get involved in the business side of coaching, make sure to apply
If you are a newer coach with a passion for learning & determination to forge a career, make sure to apply too.
What you'll be doing:
You'll start by spending most of your time coaching, training and developing your skills as a Little Gym instructor. As your experience grow, you'll get more exposure to running a small sports business. Let's build strong, confident kids… and a strong, confident future for you, our team and our club too.
- Teaching gymnastics "The Little Gym Way"
- Learning about child development and movement education
- Administration and customer service
- Helping with marketing and sales
- Hosting birthday parties and special events
- Understanding what it takes to run a successful children's sports business
Why you'll love working here:
- You'll be part of a supportive, fun and ambitious small team driven to do well for our members, each other, and the business
- You'll get proper training and development, not just when you start but every week, month, and year while you're with us
- You'll see the impact you make in real time (confidence, smiles, milestones)
- You'll be part of a growing business with room to grow yourself
- No two days are ever the same
The boring but necessary bits:
- 37-40 hours per week
- Must be reliable, responsible and flexible
- Must be available to work a regular roster that includes some evening shifts plus one teaching day on the weekend
- Must love high-fives, energy, and tiny humans learning big things
- Must be a team player
Sound like you?
If you're excited by the idea of building a career at The Little Gym — not just clocking in and out — we'd love to hear from you.
Send us your CV. Even better, send us a cover letter telling us-- Why You… and Why The Little Gym?
