About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated
Tree Surgeon / Team Leader
to join our growing team at Simply Tree Services. This is a hands-on role where you'll be conducting arboricultural operations, ensure safety and quality standards and guide a small team to deliver exceptional tree care services.

For this role, you will:

  • Support colleagues, helping whenever it is required
  • Be responsible for the safety of your team-mates and others within the site
  • Work with other teams or subcontractors in support of the activities
  • Participate in briefings, risk assessment and method statement creation
  • Complete all checks on your own PPE and equipment each day
  • Complete daily vehicle or equipment checks on any plant you drive or use
  • Assist in the loading of equipment to vehicles for the task ahead
  • Actively participate in the creation of risk assessments
  • Assist with mentoring and training in support of trainees and apprentices
  • Work safely and maintain awareness of the company & client safety policies and procedures
  • Responsible for assisting the sit set up, respecting boundaries and signage
  • Ensure the site is left clean and tidy and that all equipment has been collected and stored safely before departure
  • Perform climbing operations or working at height operations
  • Deliver works in accordance with client requirements and/or industry best practice guidelines
  • Overseeing the finalised risk assessments, site documents, pictures and tablet work
  • Returning clients paperwork in a timely / correct manner

Location:
Based from our depot in Wootton (MK43) with travel across northern home counties

Contract:
Full-time

Salary Range:
Starting at £35,000, dependent on experience

Skills & Certifications:

The candidate will ideally have experience in utility tree and vegetation management. Experience in other sectors may also be advantageous, but not required.
