Employee Relations Specialist

Initial 6 month FTC (potential to extend)

Hybrid working - 2 days per week in Warwick office - flexibility to travel UK-wide

Salary Circa £58,000 per annum

We're looking for a skilled
Employee Relations Specialist
to join our dynamic team, providing professional, risk-based advice and guidance to managers across a wide range of complex ER cases.

What You'll Do

As a trusted ER expert, you'll:

  • Provide specialist advice on cases including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, discrimination, and more.
  • Coach and support line managers through formal processes, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
  • Lead and manage complex hearings, including dismissals and ill-health retirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including legal advisors and trade unions.
  • Champion best practice through training and capability-building sessions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and policy reviews.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in managing complex ER cases with sound legal and commercial judgement.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and drive change.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and ACAS guidelines.
  • Experience in early conciliation, settlement agreements, and employment tribunals.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent)
