The Role:

As a Joiner at Markham Wallis, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding results across a wide range of projects. You'll work on both site-based and workshop joinery tasks, ensuring every aspect of your work meets the company's high standards of quality, safety, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair doors, windows, frames, skirting, staircases, roofs (including traditional) and flooring.
  • Construct, install, and repair wooden structures, furniture, and fittings, including showroom kitchens.
  • Work accurately from technical drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Manage and use hand and power tools safely and responsibly.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Be willing to travel and work out of town when required by the business.
  • Represent Markham Wallis with professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service on every project.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Joiner.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent qualification).
  • Strong knowledge of joinery tools, materials, and techniques, with a personal portfolio of tools suitable for the role.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and plans.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a genuine pride in craftsmanship.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to on-site challenges.
  • A proactive, reliable, and positive attitude towards work.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
  • CSCS card (desirable but not essential).
  • Willingness to work at height and in varying weather conditions.
