Here at Americold Spalding we are now recruiting for a Stock Controller.

As a Stock Controller your job will be focusing on inventory checks and WMS usage.

Your daily tasks will be measuring and controlling all missing stock within the warehouse operation. Working in partnership with the WMS Manager and Supervisors to ensure all stock is accounted and any issues reported.

You will oversee, investigate and provide evidence for any warehouse non-conformances relating to potential claims, and investigation reports working with the Warehouse Manager and Senior Supervisor to establish the cause and corrective actions. You will be actively present 'walk the floor' to identify customer non-conformances that could lead to a future claim, i.e., un-stable pallets, poor banding, loose wrap and overweight etc.

You will be responsible to support the warehouse with customer audits and stock checks, validating and understanding any variances in advance. Produce and complete any monthly or annual stock declarations to customers.

You will be analyzing trends and causes, identifying priorities and corrective actions to reduce cost exposure. As well as developing Stock Admin performance by increasing levels of knowledge and consistency.

You will be controlling the Perpetual Inventory and Free Space processes, organizing your own team to balance and deliver best results across all target and areas of accountability.

Requirements

Working Hours:

Sunday to Thursday 7am-5pm or Tuesday To Saturday 7am-5pm

Rate of Pay:

£15.71 per hour, OT £23.56 plus Shift allowance £27.56

Essential Criteria

  • Previous warehousing experience, dealing with high volume stock (essential)
  • Be self-motivated with the ability to work both on their own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Be enthusiastic and proactive approach towards work.
  • An individual who thrives in an active and fast-paced work environment
  • Flexible as occasional out of hours work may be required.
  • The ability to identify and drive forward areas where improvements in ways of working can be achieved.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • The ability to be able to manage workloads effectively
  • A good understanding of RDT and scanner operation.
  • Basic knowledge of the warehouse management system, or the aptitude to learn.
