JOB TITLE: Civil Litigation Lawyer
PQE REQUIRED: 12 months+
LOCATION: West Yorkshire
SALARY: Up to £45,000 (DOE)
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Contracts Team Leader, you will provide clear and accurate legal advice across a varied caseload covering consumer contract disputes, professional negligence matters and inheritance claims. You will progress claims proactively and within agreed timescales, ensuring all work complies with the terms of each client's legal expenses insurance policy. You will manage client expectations whilst always ensuring fair treatment. You will work to secure appropriate settlements and recover costs, while maintaining accurate time recording and system records. You will also identify opportunities for your own development and support the wider team's progression, contributing to improvements in best practice, product performance and the overall client experience.
THE CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate will be a Solicitor or Legal Executive, ideally 12 months' PQE with a strong understanding of contract litigation and experience handling small claims and fast-track matters. Experience in professional negligence or inheritance disputes is desirable. You will be a collaborative team player with experience working effectively in a high-performing environment.
