About the role
Help keep Warwickshire's roads safe this winter – join Balfour Beatty Living Places as a Winter Maintenance Driver on a flexible zero-hour contract.
We're looking for reliable and safety-conscious drivers to support our Winter Service Delivery team. You'll play a vital role in salting roads and clearing snow to ensure safe travel for all road users during cold and icy conditions.
This is a zero-hour contract role, ideal for those seeking seasonal work or additional hours. Shifts are determined daily based on weather forecasts, with standby required every other week.
What you'll be doing
- Driving HGV vehicles on assigned winter maintenance routes
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting issues
- Refuelling and maintaining fleet vehicles
- Supporting snow clearance operations
- Following health, safety, and quality standards at all times
Who we're looking for
Essential:
- Full clean driving licence
- HGV Class C licence
- CPC qualification
- Strong team ethic and reliability
- Commitment to health and safety
Desirable (training can be provided):
- Winter Service Units 513 & 580
- Tacho Card
- Experience in highways or winter maintenance
