IT Technical Assistant
Job Overview: The IT Technical Assistant assists the company's IT department in system maintenance, equipment management, software support, and user service. This position operates under the guidance of the IT supervisor or system administrator, ensuring the stable operation of the company's computers, network, and related technical infrastructure.
This position is suitable for candidates with basic IT knowledge, strong hands-on skills, a quick learning ability, and good communication skills.
Main Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, operating systems, and application software;
Responsible for the daily maintenance and troubleshooting of office equipment (printers, scanners, projectors, etc.);
Assist in managing the company's internal network, email system, and account permissions;
Provide desktop technical support to employees (including hardware, software, and network issues);
Record, track, and resolve IT support tickets to ensure timely response to user needs;
Assist in system backups, data security management, and virus protection;
Participate in IT asset management, including equipment registration, inventory, and repair requests;
Assist in the deployment of new systems, new software, and version updates;
Support the technical support of the company's conferencing or remote video systems.
Job Requirements:
Associate's degree or above, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS/Linux), and networking;
Able to independently handle common office IT problems;
Familiar with the configuration of Local Area Networks (LAN), Wi-Fi, print services, and common security software;
Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset;
Clear logic, meticulous and responsible, and capable of learning new technologies;
At least 1 year of IT support or system maintenance experience is preferred;
Good English reading and writing skills are preferred (for handling system interfaces or overseas communication).
Bonus Points (Optional):
Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or corporate email systems;
Familiarity with basic scripting languages (such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash);
IT-related certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft MTA/MD-100, etc.);
Experience in helpdesk or technical support centers.
