Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Despatch Supervisor to join our vibrant team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the efficient and timely dispatch of our products, ensuring that our commitment to customer satisfaction is always met. Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Inspire and manage a dedicated team of dispatch staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee all dispatch operations, ensuring adherence to our quality and safety standards while optimizing efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in dispatch processes and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure timely order fulfilment.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external partners, facilitating seamless coordination and addressing any dispatch-related inquiries.
  • Training & Development: Mentor team members and provide training to ensure compliance with company policies and enhance skill sets.
  • Dynamic Culture: Be part of a diverse and inclusive workplace that values collaboration, creativity, and mutual respect.
  • Impactful Work: Play a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving the success of our operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in logistics, dispatch, or a supervisory role within a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
  • IOSH (ideal but not required)
  • Counter balance license (ideal but not required)

Candidate:

  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring team compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement improvements in dispatch processes
  • Excellent organisational abilities with strong attention to detail to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, management, and external partners.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Able to work with efficiently with various departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,135.00 per year
