Located near Shanghai, China, our client, a significant and well-established entity in the technology sector, is actively looking for a proficient specialist in the realm of Semiconductor and Smart Chips. This position presents an outstanding opportunity for individuals deeply invested in groundbreaking research in semiconductor sciences, encompassing various critical aspects of the field.

This role starts in March 2026 with a remote-first setup. The first three months will be remote to align objectives, workflows, and milestones. After that, any on-site collaboration in China may be arranged by mutual agreement based on project needs (e.g., lab validation, pilot line activities, or fab bring-up). Compensation is competitive, with additional allowances for any agreed on-site participation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Innovate and design semiconductor components aligned with trends in automotive and advanced technology sectors.
  • Conduct advanced research in semiconductor technologies, with emphasis on SiC Power MOSFET and related areas.
  • Manage projects from inception to successful delivery, maintaining high technical and quality standards.
  • Provide specialized guidance on semiconductor technologies and resolve complex technical issues with stakeholders.
  • Oversee the full device/product lifecycle-development, testing, and quality control-ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and execution for semiconductor technology roadmaps and development plans.

Your Profile

  • Ideally holding a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering/Science (or related field with semiconductor focus), or equivalent industry experience.
  • Ideally 3+ years in the semiconductor or smart-chip domain.
  • Broad understanding of device design, process/production, and applications for semiconductors and smart chips.
  • Track record of innovation and subject-matter depth in semiconductor technology.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in distributed, cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical, solutions-oriented mindset with up-to-date awareness of industry developments.
  • English is the working language; additional languages are a plus.
