Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support the smooth operation of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and a comprehensive understanding of food safety and service standards. The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will assist in overseeing daily operations, maintaining high standards of quality, and supporting team development within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising the daily operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring efficient service delivery.
  • Support the management team in coordinating food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
  • Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations across all outlets.
  • Supervise staff including serving personnel, kitchen staff, and baristas, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Manage team schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance to optimise productivity.
  • Assist in training new staff members on service procedures, safety standards, and culinary techniques.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and service areas.
  • Support menu planning, food production processes, and inventory control to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
  • Handle guest enquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as housekeeping and front desk to deliver seamless guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management with a focus on food and beverage operations.
  • Previous supervising experience with team management skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and Licensing regulations and best practices within the hospitality industry.
  • Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hotel environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and staff motivation.
  • Good communication skills in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
