**Staff Nurse – Cardiology
Location: The Wellington Hospital, London
Contract Type: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive + Shift Enhancement**
We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our dedicated 20-bed Cardiology Unit at The Wellington Hospital – the UK's largest private hospital and home to the country's largest private critical care facility. Rated "Good" by the CQC, The Wellington is a leading centre for advanced cardiac care, providing the ideal environment for nurses looking to expand their clinical skills and develop professionally within a supportive and expert team.
As a Staff Nurse in the cardiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals undergoing investigation, monitoring, or treatment for a range of cardiac conditions. Your role will include assessing patients on admission, planning and implementing care plans, and evaluating outcomes.
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support patients recovering from procedures such as angiograms, pacemaker insertions, and electrophysiology studies. Monitoring telemetry, recognising cardiac abnormalities, responding to changes in patient condition, and providing post-procedure education and reassurance are all key aspects of the role. No two days are the same – the unit offers a fast-paced, varied clinical environment with the opportunity to continually grow your knowledge and confidence in cardiac nursing.
We are proud to foster a strong team culture, where staff are supported to learn and thrive. Whether you are already experienced in cardiology or are looking for your first role in this specialty, we offer a structured induction programme, ongoing professional development, and mentorship to help you succeed.
At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.
