English A Level Tutor (In-Person – Kingston, KT2)

Location: Kingston, KT2

Hours: Minimum 2 hours per week (schedule to be confirmed)

Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced English A Level Tutor to support a bright student with an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) diagnosis. The student has demonstrated exceptional academic ability.

This is a face-to-face role based at the family home in Kingston. The tutor must therefore be local and able to travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, tailored English A Level lessons that meet the student's academic and emotional needs.
  • Encourage independent and curiosity-driven learning while maintaining clear structure and academic challenge.
  • Collaborate with the family to ensure consistency and clear communication about progress.

Requirements

  • Proven experience teaching English A Level.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting students with ASD.
  • A calm, patient, and flexible teaching approach.
  • Strong communication and empathy skills.
  • Must be available for in-person lessons in Kingston.

Additional Information

This family has previously trialled a few tutors; they are looking for the right long-term fit, someone who combines expertise, understanding, and commitment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £45.00-£55.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 2 per week
