IO Interactive is on the lookout for a meticulous and skilled Technical Quality Assurance (Tech QA) Specialist to join on-site in a hybrid setup in either Malmö, Brighton or Barcelona. As we continue to progress with our exciting projects, including 007 First Light, a brand-new James Bond video game, and Project Fantasy, we require a Tech QA professional to help us maintain the highest standards of product quality.

What you will do

Structured Software Testing
  • Participate in structured software testing in an agile environment
  • Design and execute test cases
  • Perform regression tests to ensure build stability
Task & Workflow Management
  • Create and supervise tasks for in-house and outsourced QA
  • Ensure prerequisites for tasks and test executions are fulfilled
  • Schedule tasks according to the current project state and overall QA workload
  • Create reports for Leads, stakeholders, and the broader team
  • Support other QA department members in their duties and tasks
QA Research & Development
  • Investigate the testing needs of new features
  • Develop procedures for upcoming projects
  • Research new hardware and software usability in the QA context
  • Support Leads and management in improving existing QA frameworks
  • Provide constructive feedback and create documentation for QA and non-QA team members
  • Participate in cross-discipline meetings and provide QA input
  • Communicate relevant information effectively across the QA department
Technical QA
  • Help developers with testing and debugging of features and defects
  • Apply knowledge about the engine and tools used to build our games
  • Implement new tools and workflows to improve efficiency
  • Provide technical support for development teams
  • Utilise basic scripting/programming knowledge (Python is a plus)
  • Possess and apply build pipeline and infrastructure knowledge
Who You Are
  • 1–3 years of experience in a QA role in the games industry
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Autonomous yet collaborative; can both set direction and be a team player
  • Self-motivated with high standards for quality
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Passion for video games, ideally with an interest in fantasy-style games
  • Work showcases (e.g. published games, personal website, or YouTube) are a plus
  • Experience in software testing and/or Python is a plus
