What will you be doing?

Prepare design/fabrication drawings of steel structures using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD software.

Manage the drafting work of a team of designers on a project:

  • Project resources management.
  • Project budget control.
  • Organize and prioritize work for self and the team.
  • Check all drawings and sketches.
  • Interface with project discipline leads to ensure CAD deliverable schedule is being met.
  • Ensure project team comply with company Drawing Office, QA and HSE procedures.
  • Actively help to guide, train, and develop more junior personnel.

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Technical education related to structural or mechanical engineering.
  • Relevant previous design and drafting experience in producing subsea structural fabrication within the Oil and Gas industry, including work at Lead/Senior level.
  • Ability to assign, oversee, check, and approve the work of a team on a project.
  • Ability to prioritize own workload and manage time accordingly to meet time/budget constraints.
  • Produces work of presentable quality.
  • Experience in the use of Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D & Vault
  • Good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Sound communication skills in English essential, desirable French and Portuguese, both verbally and written.#LI-AB1
