Your new role
You will be responsible for the smooth creation and delivery of industry-leading video content across Global's award-winning podcast, The News Agents. Working alongside our video, audio, web and social teams you will be expected to create outstanding, engaging video content that reinforces The News Agents' position as a leader in original news analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the production of original, compelling, digital-first video content for web and social, with a focus on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
• Managing video sends for exclusive interviews with leading politicians and cultural figures and travelling for special projects (previously travel has included covering the US election in Washington D.C, abortion rights in Florida and AI development in Las Vegas).
• Collaborating with a passionate and hugely talented team to keep The News Agents as a leader in original news analysis.

What Success Looks Like
In the first few months, you would have:

• Taken on the responsibility for the video output at The News Agents.
• Involved yourself in everything from podcast visualisation to the creation and delivery of special projects and social-first video formats.
• Fostered and grown relationships between video, podcast, social and digital team stakeholders.
• Helped to consistently generate original video content ideas and formats.
• Understood and adopted internal processes, workflows and policies.
• Take ownership of The News Agents' video output, creating compelling content that captivates our audiences and brings the brand to life online and on social media
• Ensure excellent cross-team communication between audio, digital, and video departments, coordinating resources and information so everyone has what they need to deliver exceptional work.
• Contribute with ideas, stay ahead of trending video formats and emerging content styles, and influence how we continue to publish engaging content for our digital audience.
• Lead shoots and productions - complete risk assessments, call sheets and organise kit and crew alongside our Production Management team.
• Manage multiple requests simultaneously and seek internal or external resources where appropriate.

What You Will Need
The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:

• An extensive knowledge of video production techniques and workflows.
• Knowledge of and passion for the political landscape.
• A solid understanding of the social media landscape, the need to adapt content per platform and the ability to plan shoots to cater for them.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro is a must. Experience with other Adobe Suite apps such as After Effects and Photoshop would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of advanced filming / camera operating techniques.
• A can-do attitude, willing to go the extra mile and to always be professional and courteous towards your colleagues and external contractors.
