Job Description:
Barnet Hospital is seeking a Band 6 Locum Dietitian to join our dedicated team. This position requires you to be onsite daily to provide high-quality dietetic care to patients.

Key Responsibilities?

As a Band 6 Locum Dietitian You will conduct comprehensive dietary assessments for patients to determine their nutritional needs. You will develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on assessment findings. You will provide daily Enteral Nutrition Support (ENS) and High Energy Fortification (HEF) interventions as required. You will ideally demonstrate proficiency in Parenteral Nutrition (PN) practices and offer guidance as necessary. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes. You will maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with HCPC standards and hospital policies. You will participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing service development and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Relevant experience as a Dietitian, particularly in clinical settings.
  • Strong knowledge of nutritional assessment and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
  • Competence in Enteral Nutrition Support and High Energy Fortification practices; Parenteral Nutrition experience is desirable.
