Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs to ensure they are durable and weatherproof.

Duties

  • Install roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal.
  • Conduct inspections to identify issues or damage on roofs.
  • Must be able to do batten slates and leadwork. - Required.
  • Repair or replace damaged roofing materials as necessary.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints for roofing projects.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required when handling materials.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals including carpenters and plumbers.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Familiarity with carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and fabrication techniques is advantageous.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately.
  • Strong physical fitness for heavy lifting and working at heights.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to safety practices on the job site.
