Fleet Admin & Transport Assistant
and help keep our 200-vehicle fleet running like clockwork. From maintaining accurate records to supporting vehicle operations and compliance, you'll be a key player in our transport team.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll support the day-to-day administration and coordination of our fleet and plant equipment, ensuring everything is safe, compliant, and efficient. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing fleet records (digital and hard copy) and updating vehicle/asset registers
- Handling internal and external queries via the shared fleet mailbox
- Investigating and processing PCNs, including cost recovery communications
- Coordinating vehicle hire and termination paperwork
- Conducting vehicle inspections and basic maintenance (oil, bulbs, fluids, etc.)
- Transporting goods and vehicles (up to 3.5T GVW)
- Liaising with third-party suppliers and covering for the Fleet Manager when needed
- Using jump packs/leads for non-start vehicles (training provided)
- Ensuring idle vehicles are regularly started and ready for use
What We're Looking For
- A full, clean UK manual driving licence (including HGV Category C)
- Experience in fleet administration or coordination
- Knowledge of vehicle licensing, MOTs, servicing, repairs, and PCN handling
- Strong admin skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with fleet management systems (a plus)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A flexible, hands-on approach and team spirit
- Comfortable with basic vehicle maintenance
- Experience with Sage or similar systems (or willingness to learn)
