Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our vibrant team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional hospitality to our guests. You will be responsible for providing a welcoming atmosphere, taking orders, and ensuring that customers have a pleasant dining experience. Your ability to upsell menu items and assist in food preparation will contribute significantly to the overall success of our restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering system.
  • Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
  • Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during service.
  • Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring high standards of culinary presentation.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, aiming for resolution and satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is a must
  • Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately are required.
  • Strong time management skills to balance multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for culinary arts and hospitality is essential, along with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
