Job description & responsibilities:

  • Utilise SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
  • Maintain accurate records of design changes and updates
  • Assist in the prototyping and testing phases
  • Creating maintenance and refurbishment manuals for construction equipment.
  • Design review and validation against the relevant BSI, ISO, EN, UKCA, chassis manufacturer's standards and regulations.
  • Design of small to heavy duty vehicle-based mobile plants, including: Metal structures, components design and strength analysis for general machinery consisting of standard structural section and sheet metal. HGV, tracks drivetrain design with auxiliary PTO. Manipulators design and develop through the kinematics evaluation, mechanical FEA.
  • Improve pneumatic material transfer and air filtering through the pipelines, cover, hopper and filtration chamber.
  • Design and analysis of hydraulic and pneumatic systems in mobile and construction equipment.

Necessary Skills and knowledge:

  • BSc/ Msc degree: 1st class or Distinction
  • Good grasp of mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Good CAD skills in 3D modelling and line drawings (SolidWorks desired)
