Passionate Teacher of Girls' PE wanted in Newham TLR opportunities for those looking to lead and innovate in girls' physical education and sport development.

Our ambitious Newham school is seeking a dedicated and skilled Teacher of Girls' PE to join our successful and growing department. We are keen to hear from teachers who are not only excellent practitioners but also have the drive and potential to take on a TLR and contribute to the ongoing development of girls' PE provision and school sport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Girls' PE lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (and potentially KS5).
  • Inspire female students to develop a deep understanding of the benefits of physical activity, teamwork, and leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the girls' PE curriculum and sporting opportunities.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of female student progress in PE and sport.
  • TLR opportunities may include leading a key stage for girls' PE, developing specific girls' sports programs, leading the girls' extracurricular sports program, or establishing partnerships to enhance girls' sporting pathways.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Girls' PE at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • A strong passion for physical activity, sport, and empowering young women through these avenues.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be a positive female role model.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities within girls' PE and sport development (for TLR consideration).
