Full-Time Primary School PE Educator / Sports Coach

Location: Blandford, Dorset

Key Details:

PH ActiveEd are an award-winning primary school PE and School Sports provider in the South-West. In addition to this, we also offer a high-quality school-based wraparound childcare service. We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, enthusiastic and confident, PE Educator or Sports Coach to join our teaching team on a full-time basis. The successful candidates will share our company vision and goals and will be responsible for the high-quality delivery of our PE and sports programmes, adopting our bespoke lesson methodology and schemes of work. In addition, they will deliver our extra-curricular activities and be responsible for supporting schools with planning and assessments, plus any other administrative roles when required.

Your role:

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate high quality, engaging PE lessons and extra-curricular lunch and after school sports clubs daily
  • Complete termly assessments and start/end of year impact reports of pupils
  • Support and upskill primary school teachers to develop confidence and competence in delivering PE
  • Lead and manage the daily running of before school wraparound care (these are essential in enabling us to offer full-time roles)
  • Assist schools in coordinating sports events and sports days
  • Support school PE leaders with implementing high-quality PE within their schools
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of all children in your care
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, school staff, and colleagues
  • Maintain Professional boundaries and good coaching practice at all times
  • Complete general administrative roles where required

What We're Looking For:

  • A passion and commitment to delivering high quality, engaging PE and School Sport
  • Level 2 NGB qualification (minimum)
  • Experience in delivering PE and School Sport within a primary school
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Primary National Curriculum (physical education)
  • Ability to demonstrate a range of effective behaviour management and class control methods
  • Full, clean driving licence (your own transport is essential)
  • Paediatric first aid qualification (desirable)
  • The ability to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate
