About the Role:
As the Category Development Manager, you become a trusted partner to Sales & Marketing, shaping how our brands live and grow across your assigned channels and categories. You will bring clarity, care and craft to the way we plan, ensuring every activation reflects our brand spirit and delivers real value for our customers. You will also look at our performance with a curious, analytical eye, spot what can be improved and help turn insights into action and implementation in store.
Main Responsibilities:As the Category Development Manager, you will guide the development of the Trade Marketing plan for your category, keeping it fully aligned with our brand vision. This role shapes how our categories grow – both in strategy and in store.
Exploring opportunities and challenges for each customer and help define clear listing recommendations while shaping activation guidelines that bring our products to life and understand the unique role each channel and customer plays, in your growing categories.
You will partner with Key Account Manager and build customer plans that reflect our strategy, prepare compelling selling arguments and ensure every element of each offer is complete and coherent.
You will actively contribute to annual planning by mapping the future landscape and identifying growth paths and analyse Ferrero's performance plans across customers and competitors, uncovering the drivers behind results and highlighting risks and opportunities.
The role also brings structure to the way our products appear in store, creating channel-level planograms and guiding secondary placements that strengthen visibility and contributes to the category vision by identifying growth drivers whilst working closely with internal teams and customers that bring that vision to life.

You work at the heart of the commercial organisation with Sales, Marketing and senior leaders who value your insight. Your work will shape real decisions – how our brands appear in store, how categories expand and how customers experience Ferrero every day.
This is a role that will develop sharp commercial mindset, strengthen your stakeholder managements skills and build expertise across Trade Marketing, Category Management & sales. You will gain exposure to strategic planning while staying close to the action, seeing your ideas turn into moments of joy on the shelf.
About You:This role thrives on strong customer understanding, commercial acumen and the confidence to shape strategy with clarity and care. Analytical thinking, an ability to guide teams through collaborative influencing.
Experience in managing customer performance and operating in fast paced settings and FMCG experience is a welcome advantage though the combination of insight and curiosity which is what's needed in this role.
