Teacher - Cosheston VC School

The Governing Body wish to appoint a teacher (0.2) to work as part of the small and dedicated team at our school across all year groups. This position is fixed-term until 31 August 2026.

The successful candidate will meet the criteria of the job description and in addition:

• Be an effective practitioner with a good understanding of the development of children's learning and progression.
• Have an understanding of teaching mixed age classes.
• Have effective classroom management strategies to implement the school's Positive Behaviour Policy.
• Have an understanding of Emotion Coaching and Attachment principles i.e. being kind, caring and patient (or be willing to learn).
• The ability to work as part of a small team.
• Be able to teach Welsh as a second language to a good standard. Have an understanding of Christian values linked to a Church School.

Closing date:

The Governing Body will contact identified candidates to attend school on for lesson observations, tasks and interview.
