A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a
Systems Engineering Lead
to join a department to assist with a range of strategically important activities.

This role performs the duties of the position and reports to the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting programmes in their use of current and emerging systems engineering processes, methods and tools
  • Promoting best practice to improve efficiency and consistency across UK projects
  • Shaping systems engineering approaches in line with customer expectations, technology capability and supplier performance
  • Providing education, training and consultancy-style support across key programmes
  • Supporting the development of team members as they build their systems engineering capability
  • Assessing and enhancing the use of core systems engineering techniques
  • Developing and delivering process improvement and behavioural change initiatives
  • Ensuring full lifecycle consideration in system design activity
  • Influencing systems engineering approaches for new business and during programme phase transitions
  • Collaborating with internal partners across UK sites and international counterparts to align systems engineering processes

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Experience supporting colleagues' development
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Experience of systems architecture design

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Broad systems engineering experience covering the full lifecycle
  • Understanding of state-of-the-art systems engineering methods and their application on major projects
  • Ability to understand and implement MBSE methodologies
  • Ability to work autonomously, proactively managing multiple issues and priorities
