Role Title: Onshore Test Manager – Financial Systems
BU/Segment: Finance Transformation / Technology & Analytics
Location: London: United Kingdom (Onsite)
Employment Type: Interim. Initial 6-months contract
The Onshore Test Manager plays a critical role in leading and executing testing activities across a major financial transformation program currently in design phase. You will manage end-to-end testing across multiple vendors and systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with finance and accounting requirements.
The role requires deep experience in financial systems testing, strong knowledge of finance operations, and the ability to work seamlessly with Solution, Application, and System Integration Partners. This position is essential to ensuring the successful deployment of financial technology solutions within a complex enterprise environment.
What the role entails:
- Own and deliver the end-to-end testing strategy across all testing phases including SIT, UAT, E2E, Performance Testing, Penny Testing, and Data Reconciliation.
- Manage and coordinate testing activities across multiple vendors including Solution Partner, System Integration Partner, and Application Partner.
- Ensure integration and application testing validate accurate outputs, correct financial calculations, data integrity, and compliance with finance requirements.
- Participate in design workshops to understand system architecture, financial processes, and end-to-end business flows.
- Develop, maintain, and manage test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and defect processes.
- Coordinate with finance stakeholders to facilitate test execution, validation, and formal sign-off.
- Provide regular testing status updates, manage risks and issues and drive resolution across cross-functional teams.
Experience and background required:
- Extensive financial systems testing experience supported by a strong finance or accounting foundation.
- Deep understanding of finance operations and processes — able to engage immediately with no learning curve.
- Proven track record managing large-scale, multi-vendor testing programs.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage finance teams, conduct interviews, and validate outcomes.
- Ability to translate finance requirements into structured testing approaches and execution plans.
- Experience leading structured defect triage sessions and performing root-cause analysis.
- Experience working on enterprise-scale finance transformation programs.
- Knowledge of data migration approaches, data validation, and reconciliation strategies.
- Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
